Peter Lukianenko is a modern Belarusian artist working in the area of easel painting. He was born in 1950. He graduated from the Belarusian State Theater & Art Institute (currently known as the Belarusian Art Academy), Department of Theory & History of Visual Arts. The pictures of the artist have been exhibited at the group and personal exhibitions in Belarus and abroad since 1976.
Peter Lukianenko works in various genres: thematic picture, portrait, landscape, still life. He has written a number of articles on contemporary visual arts; the articles have been published by the Belarusian Mass Media. He currently lives and works in Gomel City.
The conceptual art exhibition of the paintings by Peter Lukianenko, Artist, consists of three blocks: art and society, man and woman, beauty and nature.
The first two blocks display his thematic drawings and comments to them. The exhibited works tear the viewer away from everyday life and motivate him/her to reflect on the issues, which have been worrying people since the mankind exists.
The third block includes portraits of women, landscapes and still life pictures. The artist keenly catches the beauty of the visual environment and portrays his admiration for the world on canvases.
The exhibition demonstrates multidimensional concept of the themes and genres, variety of techniques and manners of performance of the artist.
