Vladimir Korotki was born on October 04, 1938 in Gomel City, Belarus. B.F. Zvinogrodski, V.F. Kazachenko, A.M. Shevchenko were his teachers. He has been participating in the regional, republican, all-USSR and international art exhibitions since 1962. He has been a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists since 1989.
This artist is characterized by delicate watercolor technique, by sincere admiration of the native land's landscapes, by soft coloring and diversity of the technical methods.
Thanks to the paintings by Vladimir Korotki the viewer learns how to love his/her native land with its beautiful and modest images.
The esthetical credo of the artist is realistic portraying of nature, of a man/woman, and of items of his/her activity.
The works by Vladimir Korotki are kept in the National Museum of the Republic of Belarus, in the Contemporary Art Museum, in the Svetlogorsk Picture Gallery, in the museums of Mozyr, Rechitsa, Bragin. The Museum of the Gomel Palace & Park Ensemble possesses about 40 pictures of the painter.
