Alexander Gailevich was born in the Vitebsk Region, Belarus in the area of the Braslav Lakes in 1962. He currently lives in Gomel City. His genre is landscape.
He has been participating in municipal, regional, republican exhibitions since 1999. His personal exhibitions have been organized in Moscow (Russia), Kiev (Ukraine), Minsk (Belarus), Gomel (Belarus) and in other cities of Belarus and abroad since 2000. He has been a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists since 2005.
Every landscape by Alexander Gailevich is not only like a photo picture of the seen: it is philosophical interpretation, reflection of everything around. Faithfulness to classical painting traditions as well as the courage of experiment allow him to be an outstanding and an original artist indeed. His works are characterized by lightness, internal dynamic, original color preferences.
Verse illustrations by Ivan Bisev, a poet from Gomel, accompany the art pieces by Alexander Gailevich at the exhibitions. Their creative tandem has become fruitful and long-lived. The artist and the poet are independent individuals, and at the same time they supplement each other and give a chance to a spectator to get a deep meaning of what is called "creativity".
